Sara and Pierce were such a special couple to work with. They were both involved in the planning process and were super considerate about each other’s desires for the day. They were down to earth and a dream to work with!
The week of the wedding it had been raining all week. We rehearsed the ceremony in Ron Basford park under the shield of our umbrellas during a downpour. Luckily, the day of the wedding the sky parted and the sun came out.
As Sara walked down the boardwalk of Ron Basford Park she looked stunning in a Truvelle dress with makeup by Jasmine Hoffman. Sara and Pierce were married with the perfect backdrop of Vancouver’s seawall.
After the ceremony, guests headed to the patio of Performance Works for cocktail hour. Guests sipped on Aperol Spritzes and listened to live music as Sara and Pierce had family photos with John Bello photography.
Soon after the bride and groom joined the party and everyone made their way into Performance Works for the reception. Art of the Party created floral chandeliers and hung them over the long harvest tables. The room looked spectacular. After a delicious buffet by Emelles Catering, the speeches kicked off. As a wedding planner I get to hear my fair share of speeches. I loved each and every speech I heard that evening! From touching childhood stories from their parents to hilarious antics from their best friends, the speeches definitely entertained the crowd!
After Sara and Pierce thanked their guests they cut their cake by The Cake Mama and got the party started on the dance floor. Man About Town kept guests partying late into the evening.
Sara and Pierce were such a fun couple to work with and I wish them a lifetime of happiness!
