The most magical home-style wedding to date! This family runs a large farm in Delta and we able to use their whole property to create the most amazing ceremony site I have ever seen. The bride planned and planted the sunflower field a year in advance so that it would be the perfect height they day they said I Do. The bride was so humble about the ceremony site work she had done but it literally blew me away!
I know that "barn yard chic" has been in style for a few years now, this was one of the best I had had the pleasure of being a part of because it was so authentic. We strive to make sure weddings feel like the couples and this one was a perfect example of that. The bride and groom, her parents, and her grandparents all live on this working farm. I used her brothers cruiser bike as my way around the property for the day. The lavender to throw at the ceremony came from the gardens. And, all of the cool vintage decor (wheel barrows, crates etc) were found around the property.
One of my favourite touches of the day was the "clinking" kiss game. I'll be honest to say that I'm not usually a huge fan of these wedding games but what they did was a testament to how thoughtful this couple and community are. In order to get the couple to kiss, guests needed to make a donation to a local family who are currently raising money to purchase a wheelchair accessible van for their son. Jenna and Chad, with the help of their amazing guests, were able to drop of $750 for this amazing family.
